I’m slowly realising that when we open a new website, the standard has to be that of a competitor’s website, one which has been on the market far longer. Quality has to be top notch in order to quickly beat them.
However much I talk about quality being the most important key to a website’s sustainability in the future, quality isn’t nearly as important if you waste all of your startup time worrying over it. You have to find a happy closing place and bookmark the quality for a while until you’ve made yourself public, and then work on quality, as well as development and innovation.

I seriously believe that if done properly, a huge website can bring nearly every service together.
Yahoo has yet to accomplish this because they act on the “Set it and forget it” method, in which they build a service up using a dedicated team, and never really approve upon it because it seems to work good enough.
Take Yahoo! Auctions, for example. One could make the accusation that they closed their doors because of eBay, but I believe that it is because of the quality of their product. The style that was used felt like nothing has been updated since the late nineties. If Yahoo! Auctions was given a facelift to the quality of something like Yahoo! Answers, I imagine more people would start using said service, and as such, would not have closed down.
Facebook has taken a different turn and given third-party developers the ability to create other sections of their website, as to both reduce their work load, as well as increase user activity, bringing a cleaner myspace-style profile.
Such as they say in real estate (”location, location, location”), I believe “Quality, quality, quality” is the light that our industry will discover in the near future. Whether or not we intend to catchphrase it Web 3.0, I imagine that quality will be one of the top priorities for any successful site in the near future.

I need to earn what I want, and to do so, I must change the way I live and think about my life and activities pertaining to what I want to achieve.
I must change to get what I want. There is nothing but merely a mental barrier from letting me do this.

Two weeks from now school will be starting for me again.
This doesn’t mean too much in regards to business activity seeing as how I should have a three day weekend every week and most evenings/mornings off. However, three nights a week and 4 late mornings of the week I’ll be busy with school related activities.
So, since I only have a small amount of time left, let’s see how much I can get accomplished. I hope that I can at least get a few websites off the ground as well as build upon a few big ideas that I have brewing in the pot.
Hopefully this is the beginning of something amazing.

I’ve had a lot of mental blocks for some unknown reasons; things such as sleep troubles, unable to develop anything, etc.
Now, I no longer worry about any of that. All of that stuff is off my mind and I now have a real goal to work towards. There is no need to reveal said goal publicly because it is useless to anyone but myself.
However, now that I have signed a no compete clause after selling my previous website, I now have the ability (mentally) to enter into other web markets.
This blog will track my progression. I will post any thoughts and information regarding online businesses, building websites, creating a network of sites, news events, satire, etc.

Saturday, I’ll be leaving for a vacation in New York for a week, and will be planning on ideas as to how to expand this blog further than test posts.
